Day by day itinerary:
DAY 1: Bucharest
The staff will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center of Bucharest , a city with a vibrating culture, art galleries, museums and a busy night life. Known as ‘Little Paris’ and it’s reputation for the high life, Romania’s largest city and capital Bucharest, offers a historical charm, a large number of museums, art galleries, exquisite Orthodox churches and unique architectural sites. We start our visit with the Parliament Palace (formerly called the People’s Palace).Build within Nicolae Ceausescu’s vision, the Parliament Palace provides 3.76 million square feet and it is considered as the world’s second largest building after the U.S. Pentagon. In the evening we will have a welcome special dinner organized by us and we will discuss the details of our tour.
DAY 2: Bucharest – Cheia Pass – Brasov – Bran
We live behind a beautiful cityand ride our motorcycles througha spectacular mountain road tothe Bran Castle, the castle wherethe myth of Dracula was born andlearn about inspired stories aboutthe well known vampire, Dracula.Known for his sadist executionmethods and the number of thepeoples he killed (around 100 000peoples), Dracula gain fast areputation all over the world.
Day 3: Bran – Brasov – Bicaz – Piatra Neamt
We start our visit with Brasov city. We walk thru the labyrinthine cobbled streets of Brasov, one of Europe’s best-preserved cities from the medieval period build in the12th century Saxon period with Gothic architecture and ancient style. We visit the Black Church, whose walls were darkened by the Great Fire of 1689, and admire its collection of Oriental carpets.
DAY 4: Piatra Neamt –Voronet Monastery–Moldovita Monastery –Sucevita Monastery – Frasin
Moldavia, a great region that represents the culture and the history of the Romanian people! Today we begin our experience towards cultural monasteries in Moldavia, a region full of history and legends! Step inside Voronet Monastery, the most important building of Stefan the Great, Romanian great leader, with great paintings with biblical and historical characters, royal pews and cloths belonging to the XVI th century! Another great Romanian leader, Alexandru cel Bun builds Humor Monastery which we will include it in our tour, a monastery painted with red specific colors and gothic elements.
DAY 5: Frasin – Tihuta Pass – Vadul Izei
We step into another world,another region, with differentculture and stories… Maramuresregion. We ride towards agorgeous landscape, perfect formotor ride, Tihuta Pass, a fairytaleland hunted by peasants andmysteries. We ride with ourmotorcycles towards the highestmonastery built in 1390, Barsanamonastery.
DAY 6 : Vadul Izei –Sapanta – Gutai Pass –Cluj Napoca
We visit Prison of theMinisters – museum ofthe Victims of Communismand anticommunistResistance. We talk a walkand admire the 800 gravesin the famous Sapantacemetery called ‘the MerryCemetery’ known by thebright colored gravecrosses painted withscenarios and rhymes from the dacian period which considers death as an important moment of life, the philosophy is based on immortality and celebrates the passing into a better life. We ride towards a gorgeous landscape, perfect for motor ride, Gutai Pass, a fairytale land hunted by peasants and mysteries.
DAY 7: Cluj Napoca – day free
7th is all about relaxing. Cluj-Napoca, commonly known as Cluj, is the second most populous city in Romania and the seat of Cluj County in the northwestern part of the country.The city is considered theunofficial capital to thehistorical province ofTransylvania. Between1790 and 1848 andbetween 1861 and 1867, itwas the official capital ofthe Grand Principality ofTransylvania. Cluj, a citywith an outstandingmedieval atmosphere, oneof the oldest settlementsin Transylvania, datingback prior to the Romanperiod.
DAY 8: Cluj Napoca – Sighisoara – Sibiu
We continue our motorcycle tour to the old and ancient Sighisoara city. We ride on narrow streets and listen great stories about the place where Print Vlad of the Impaler, known as Count Dracula was born. We spend the night in the ancient city listening the famous legends of Dracula. We visit the ancient Sighisoara fortified citadel together with The Clock Tower, The torture room and the Medieval Weapon Collection. We continue our perfect motorcycle tour to city of Sibiu, founded by the Saxon colonists and called once “Hermannstadt”. Voted in 2007 together with Luxemburg the “European Cultural Capital, “The Music City” offers us a great number of cultural monuments, a diversity of museums and various artistic events. We spend the night in beautiful and old Sibiu.
DAY 9: Sibiu – Transalpina – Urdele Pass – Horezu
We continue our motorcycletour through Transalpina,highest mountain road fromthe entire CarpathianMountain chain.We ride on fantastic roads and beautiful serpentines at 2145 meters;make pictures of thebeautiful landscape ofTransalpina road. It is a perfect playground fordemanding motorcyclists.
DAY 10: Horezu – Transfagarsan –Balea Lake – Bran
We ride now through Transfagarasanroad, 91 km just perfect for motorriding! Build at 2042 meters altitudeover Fagaras Mountains which are thehighest mountains in Romania,Transfagarasan road offers the mostspectacular landscape in Europe! Opento the public only 2 months per yeardue to cold weather, Transfagarasanwas called by Jeremy Clarkson,Richard Hammond and James May from Top Gear as “the most amazingroad we have ever seen”! We admireat the end of the road an incrediblelake called Balea Lake which is layingin the middle of the mountains andmake perfect pictures.. We finish ourbeautiful day in Bran.
DAY 11: Bran – Rasnov Pass – Sinaia – Bucharest We continue our motorcycle tour with the visit of Peles Castle built by the King Carol the 1st between 1866 – 1914 and decorated by the famous J. D. Heymann from Hamburg, August Bembé from Mainz and Berhard Ludwig from Viena decorators. The former royal residence is one of the most beautiful residences in Europe, with 160 rooms, all of them opulently decorated. We will enjoy our goodbye dinner and share our perfect moments about our motorcycle tour.
