Inside the Balkans Mountains

Day by day itinerary:

DAY 1: Bucharest arrival

Will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center of Bucharest, a city with a vibrating culture, art galleries, museums and a busy night life. Known as ‘Little Paris’ and it’s reputation for the high life, Romania’s largest city and capital, Bucharest, offers a historical charm, a large number of museums, art galleries, exquisite Orthodox churches and unique architectural sites. We start our visit with the Parliament Palace (formerly called the People’s Palace). Build within Nicolae Ceausescu’s vision, the Parliament Palace spreads on 3.76 million square feets and it is considered as the world’s second largest building after the U.S. Pentagon. In the evening, we will offer a welcome special dinner organized by us and we will discuss the details of our tour.

DAY 2: Bucharest – Bratocea Pass – Bran

We leave behind a beautiful city and ride our motorcycles thru a spectacular mountain road to the Bran Castle, the castle where the myth of Dracula was born and learn about inspired stories of the well known vampire, Dracula. Known for his sadist execution methods and the number of people he killed (around 100 000 people), Dracula gained fast a reputation all over the world.

DAY 3: Bran – Transfagarasan Road – Gura Raului

We ride now thru Transfagarasan road, 91 km just perfect for motor riding! Build at 2042 meters altitude over Fagaras Mountains, which are the highest mountains in Romania, Transfagarasan road offers the most spectacular landscape in Europe! Open to the public only 2 months per year due to cold weather, Transfagarasan was called by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May from Top Gear as “the most amazing road we have ever seen”! We admire at the end of the road an incredible lake called Balea Lake, laying in the middle of the mountains and make perfect pictures…

DAY 4 : Gura Raului – Muntinu Pass – Urdele Pass – Transalpina Road – Drobeta (RO)

We continue our motorcycle tour thru Transalpina highest Romania road.
We ride on fantastic roads and beautiful serpentines at 2145 meters; make pictures of the beautiful landscape of Transalpina road. It is a perfect playground for demanding motorcyclists.

DAY 5 : Drobeta – Djerdap National Park – Zlatibor
This is the day when we will begin our experience in other countries. We leave the legendary place of Dracula and we continue our motorcycle tour to Serbia along the Danube on a beautiful road with great landscape. We pass thru “Clisura Dunarii”, the place where the history of Romania begins. Here you can see rock-carved figure of Decebal. The sculpture is 55 m high and 25 m wide. Next stop is Zlatibor called “Golden Pine Mountain”. Zlatibor is supposed to get its name by white pine trees with yellow conifer.

DAY 6: Zlatibor – Tara Canyon – National Park Biogradska Gora – Podgorita – Budva

We leave behind Serbia and drive our motorcycles to Montenegro, the place where we will find the most impressive landscapes in the Balkans. We go direct to Tara Canyon, the perfect place for demanding motorcyclists. Tara Canyon it is the second biggest canyon in the world after USA Grand Canyon. We will ride our motorcycles all day long on roads full with hairpins and a lot of curves. We continue our motorcycle tour to Budva passing Cetinje.

Cetinje is surrounded by mountains, one of them is Lovcen Mountain (Black Mountain) from which Montenegro gets his name. You will admire an incredible landscape.

DAY 7: Budva – free day

Enjoy the beach under the sun of Adriatic Sea and let the Mediterranean wind lead you or take a full day boat trips. Walk between walls of the medieval city and feel the charm of the Renaissance buildings of old town.

DAY 8: Budva – Kotor – Durmitor National Park

After a relaxing day it’s time to ride again our motorcycles, a spectacular day waiting for us. We start our motorcycle tour with Bay of Kotor a UNESCO World heritage Site, also called Gulf of Kotor. Here we will find the most impressive landscapes on the Mediterranean coast. We will ride our motorcycles along the coast with the sea on the left side and the mountains on the right side. The spectacle of the beautiful mountains into the Adriatic see makes it worth riding and enjoying the view.

From Bay of Kotor we move to Durmitor National Park where other surprises are waiting for us. The perfect playground for demanding motorcyclists. Durmitor National Park offers you beautiful landscape, glacial lakes like Crno Jezero (Black Lake) and perfect roads full with hairpins. We will ride our motorcycle in the mountain at 2000 m altitude.

DAY 9: Durmitor National Park – Kopaonik National Park

A fantastic day is waiting for us! We will ride our motorcycles along the Tara River on roads with beautiful landscape perfect for pictures.

We continue our motorcycle tour to Kopaonik National Park. Kopaonik is the biggest mountain in Serbia. We will ride our motorcycle on nice roads up to 1700m surrounded by mountain peaks, we will admire the beautiful landscape and we will make nice pictures. Kopaonik National Park is characterized by its extraordinary natural beauty.

DAY 10: Kopaonik National Park – Zajecar – Drobeta

We continue our motorcycle tour to Negotin. We raise towards a gorgeous landscape, perfect for motor ride, along Danube, a fairytale land haunted by peasants and mysteries.

DAY 11: Drobeta – Bucharest

Another day with beautiful landscapes and nice roads… we continue our journey to Bucharest. We will enjoy our goodbye dinner and share our perfect moments of our perfect motorcycle tour.

DAY 12: Bucharest departure

Fly home or drive home.
